Abstract:This thesis has mainly studied metaphors translation in English advertisements. After introducing the definition and functions of metaphors in English advertisements, this thesis sums up some useful translation skills through illustrations of some examples: retaining the same vehicle, using similes instead of metaphors, using free translations instead of metaphors and taking four-word phrase structures frequently.
