Abstract：‘Human language is a means to reflect the objective world, is the most important human communication tool. Translation is the communication between the different languages of ethnic ideology, cultural exchanges bridge, is to pass information tool. Linguistics is the theoretical basis of the direct translation theory. Translation theory premise of comparing different language units is that they express the same content, which is the same meaning. A series of questions studied in this paper are based on the "semantic semiotic model" basis, from the perspective of semantics and semiotics, to explore the issue of meaning in translation. On English and Chinese synchronic comparison reveals differences between the two language system in semantics. Different studies of the same semantic content of the expression in English and Chinese languages. Discussion on word translation from different angles, and make some of their own superficial view. Valuable advice urge this community English predecessors and peers.
