Abstract

The setting of Eveline is very plain. Although the story of Eveline is a simple and short one, it does indicate her inside changes of her consciousness. Whether Eveline wanted to revolt to the reality or comply with what she was facing now had become a question remained to be discussed. This thesis intends to discuss about the analysis of Eveline’s spiritual world as well as how her spiritual world changes with the development of the story.
