Abstract

The paper gives an eco-feminist interpretation of Beloved by paying much attention to the intimate connection among human and nature, ecological environment, and human environment and it reveals the resistance of black women under slavery. The awakening of African American women is closely connection with their feelings toward nature, which is set as a reference system for them to fight against patriarchy and racial discrimination.
