Abstract

As the wide use of English in the world, the negative transfer of native language, especially the dialect for Chinese learners, cannot be ignored. Through collecting data the author mainly analyzes the characteristics of the Dongbei dialect and the effects of negative transfer of Dongbei dialect in vowels and consonants, and puts forward some appropriate teaching strategies and measures to help Dongbei students to overcome the problems of English pronunciation caused by the negative transfer of Dongbei dialect, and to achieve the purpose of effective communication.
