Abstract

Globalization has become an irreversible trend and has had an enormous and far-reaching impact on cultures. Culture globalization becomes an indispensable and important dimension of globalization. In the process of globalization, different countries become interdependent on each other. The interactions and contacts of different cultures become more and more frequent, bringing conflicts and integration. Films are mirrors of cultures. They are one of the most important media for cross-cultural communication. Nowadays, more and more English films appear in the Chinese market. The film Big Hero 6 is an influential one. In Big Hero 6, both American and Chinese cultures are demonstrated. In the present study, Big Hero 6 is selected for the analysis of Chinese and American cultural conflicts and integration. The conflicts and integration of Chinese and American cultures become unavoidable and both cultures should be respected.
