Abstract

In the realistic world, with the rapid development of science and technology, economic growth, our people’s ability of thinking is becoming more and more improved. Especially internet having been arisen, it makes our people know what happened at anywhere, anytime and anyplace. News is packaged information about current events happening somewhere else; or, alternatively, news is that which the news industry sells. News moves through many different media, based on word of mouth, printing, postal systems, broadcasting, and electronic communication. Common topics for news reports include war, politics, and business, as well as athletic contests, quirky or unusual events, and the doings of celebrities.  The text will start from news and lay stress on the analysis of different meanings from various cultural backgrounds which will involve the word ‘translation’.When we read the same news in different platforms such as: Reference News, Xinhua Net, BBC,CNN and so on,it is easy for us to find the different inferred meanings,which should be involved in the word ‘paratexts’. Therefore, the article will combine with the theory of Gerard Genette, take the example of top news,to briefly analyze the phenomenon of ‘paratexts’in news translation.
