Abstract

 Originated in China, tea not only becomes one of the world’s three largest drinks, but also reflects the unique Chinese culture. The scope of the previous tea research involved many aspects: the tea culture in the East or in the West, the cultural comparison between tea and coffee, the relation between tea and religion，its social function and so on. However, teasim and tea customs were less studied. This paper explores the differences in the ways of drinking tea at home and abroad in light of the origin and development of tea, teasim and tea customs. Then it points out and analyzes the reasons for the purpose of improving readers’ awareness of cross-culture communication and the redevelopment of Chinese tea culture.
