Abstract: New words and new expressions have emerged with the development of new things and new concepts in the social life. During the development of language, neologism will be accepted as a part of already existing words, or it will be eliminated and then disappear. 

This paper attempts to study the phenomenon of English from the prospect of formation and translation of Internet English neologism. 

The paper will first introduce the background and purpose of the research on Internet English neologism. The next part is the literature review of Internet English neologism, including the definition and the research background of Internet English neologism. Then it will be followed by reasons of the formation of new words, along with the translation principles and methods. The paper will end with a conclusion to raise readers’ awareness of the development of Internet English neologism.
