Abstract

Due to the rapid development of film industry in recent years, the study of film names translation has also emerged. This dissertation analyzes the problems that exist in the translation of film names by using description and comparison. Briefly introduces the different films genres, and then puts forward some approaches on the translation of film Names, and thus reflects the characteristics and the importance of the translation of film names. The significance of this dissertation is to sum up the translation skills and the problems that the translators should consider during the process of translating the movie titles.
