Abstract

This thesis is a study on the translation of film title from the perspective of cultural difference. Through comparing these influencing elements, it shows that there are three main aspects which are values, aesthetic and ways of thinking that influence the translation of film title in the practical work. The thesis also lists some common methods used frequently in the reality and discusses the developing status and problems as well as the relevant measures to solve them. The aim is to make a better study and understanding about the cultural difference between China and the west through the research on how the film title translation is affected by the cultural difference.
