Abstract

The successful C-E translation of film titles can summarize the content, theme and artistic value, and attract foreign audience and arouse their desire to see it as well. However, the analysis and study of the English translations of a number of Chinese film titles show that there are still problems remaining to be solved. This paper will concentrate on the methods and principles of C-E translation of film titles from the perspective of adaptation.
